Locking assembly is a kind of keyless connection device. Its principle and purpose is to generate a huge clamping force between the inner ring and the shaft and between the outer ring and the hub through the action of high-strength tension bolts, so as to realize the keyless connection between the parts and the shaft. When bearing the load, the torque, axial force or the combined load of the two are transmitted by the combination pressure of the locking assembly with the parts and shafts and the accompanying friction. Locking assembly connection has the following advantages: high centering accuracy; Convenient installation / adjustment / disassembly; High strength, stable and reliable connection; In case of overload, it can protect the equipment from damage, especially suitable for transmitting heavy load. Widely used in heavy machinery, wind power generation, packaging machinery, printing machinery, CNC machine tools, automation equipment and other fields. For example: belt pulley, sprocket, gear, bevel pulley, impeller, synchronous belt pulley, propeller, large and small fan, blower or direct connection with shaft and hub and other transmission connections. Usage: when the hub needs to be connected with the shaft, tighten the bolts to make the product move axially and generate radial force and friction, so as to meet the requirements of torque. From the connection process, it can be seen that the interference connection needs very accurate calculation, precise processing and strict control of heating temperature in advance. Too small interference is easy to cause unreliable connection, and too large interference is easy to cause plastic deformation of the connection part. High precision machining of the joint surface before assembly increases a lot of manufacturing costs; The strict requirements on temperature during assembly increase the input of auxiliary equipment; Moreover, once a connected part needs to be replaced, its disassembly is very troublesome. The commonly used method is to completely destroy the parts that need to be replaced, which is easy to damage the parts that do not need to be replaced, resulting in greater losses. Using locking assembly connection can completely avoid these problems. When connecting, only the torque handle is needed to quantitatively tighten the high-strength bolts to meet the needs of transmitting the corresponding torque; When disassembling the parts, just loosen the bolts. Moreover, the machining of keyway on the shaft and hub is avoided, and the strength of the shaft and hub is increased. Another important advantage of locking assembly is that it can play a protective role in case of overload. From the development test of locking assembly, it can be seen that when the load exceeds 37% of the rated value, it will slip and protect the connector.
