Elastic locking assembly connection is a relatively new expansion and tightening connection method. It is widely used in gear processing because of its simple structure, high centering accuracy, large transmission torque, reliable clamping and convenient assembly and disassembly. In the process of gear processing, because the traditional empirical design method lacks the relationship between the real elastic locking assembly stress and the amount of expansion when designing the elastic locking assembly, the scrap rate of the elastic locking assembly is high and the service life is short. In view of this situation, the relationship between the strength of elastic locking assembly and the expansion is qualitatively analyzed by using ANSYS finite element software, and three schemes are proposed to improve the original expansion sleeve. The example analysis shows that the stress and expansion of elastic locking assembly increase with the increase of body displacement. It is suggested that the expansion of locking assembly can be realized by stretching the mandrel by 0.15mm in actual processing, and the safety of expansion sleeve is ensured. At this time, the safety factor of locking assembly is 1.50 and the maximum expansion of locking assembly is 0.032mm, which provides a reliable theoretical basis for the design and practical operation of elastic locking assembly.
